Style Tip Tuesday: How To Wear Velvet Leggings

Like I said in this post, the velvet trend has resurrected, taken over street style and hangs in every clothing store. Velvet and deep reds, another Fall/Winter trend, have been combined to make beautifully bold burgundy, wine and oxblood velvet pieces. Have no fear, this trend is easier to style than you may think. Here are four ways to wear burgundy velvet leggings:

Velvet is visually heavy on the eyes. Wearing it with light fabrics like lace and cotton and simple staple pieces like a blazer will make a fab, fuss-free outfit.

A denim chambray shirt goes perfectly with velvet pants for a casual look. Try layering it with a light sweater or loose tee.
